We Want To Buy A MD 500E Helicopter

Attention all MD owners and operators!

If you fit the profile you may want to apply for a once in a lifetime opportunity where preference will be afforded to tight low time air frames that have never lifted weights, are single with no cats, love walks on the beach, call The Shawshank Redemption their favorite movie and loved reading "The Zahir"...

We're seeking an infusion of MD product [MD500E or Hughes 500D] to thin out the plethora of AIRBUS helicopters we own right now. Currently, we have an AS350B2, AS350SD2, BK117C1, Bell 412SP and a token Cessna 206H in stock. The hangar is so crowded that we are motivated to offer compelling trade-in terms.

If you are a private owner or commercial operator looking to gear up for a busy summer of fun or profit, then we can offer a serious performance upgrade.

Consider this data from Conklin & de Decker: Excluding fuel burn, the total variable hourly cost of the MD500E is US$405 versus US$390 for the AS350B2.

Flying the MD500 one plans at 120 litres/hr fuel consumption and depending on how much of a "hurry" you're in, the AS350B2 burns an additional 40 litres/hr - but that additional 280HP will pull away an additional 890 kilograms externally.

More capability, similar costs and don't forget that Oceania can package a turn-key agricultural set-up with our class leading fully certified AS350 Spray Gear.

A career in and more importantly a passion for aviation wasn't avoidable growing up with a fixed wing pilot for a father. Fast forward a "few" years and in 2010 Stephen joined Oceania Aviation as the Aircraft Sales Leader where he jokes that 'he once thought flying was hard". Luckily he has a very patient wife who still tolerates him a month of bush flying in Canada every year despite a previous 7000 hours roaming the planet. With 18 type endorsements in helicopters alone and 25 different variants, this indulgence is unnecessary but good for the soul. It also qualifies his opinions to prove he's not completely full of it...
